Campus Services/Features

Financial Services

We make it easy for residents and guests to manage their finances from their homes with an onsite credit union and other financial investment representatives on campus for the convenience of our residents.

Salon

Time for a color treatment or cut and style? Perhaps you just want to enjoy a manicure or pedicure? We have two salons for your pampering needs: Shining Cuts, 540-564-3340 and Silver Scissors, 540-438-4242.

Massage

Our massage therapists specialize in clinical sports massage, orthopedic injuries, active isolated stretching, Swedish deep tissue, orthopedic massage and chronic pain management. Sound inviting? Call the Wellness Center (540) 574-3850 to schedule your appointment.

Shopping

Enjoy shopping? VMRC is minutes away from Harrisonburg's Valley Mall and other national chain stores and a short drive to  outlet malls. Not in the mood to shop but find yourself in need of a few things? You can find groceries, office supplies, greeting cards and toiletries at our Main Street store. If you like flea markets and yard sales, our Bargain Center offers a variety of items you'll find nowhere else.

Transportation

There are several options for transportation for residents besides their personal vehicles. Our campus is conveniently located on the Harrisonburg Transit Authority bus line. Arrangements for emergency and nonemergency transportation may be arranged through VMRC. For VMRC-sponsored events, transportation is often included by our own fleet of vans and buses.

Home Services

VMRC offers personal home services to residents through First Choice Home Health Services--whether you live on our campus or in the community. You'll find helpful answers to your questions about health, medicines or resources to make your life easier--like shopping or transportation services.

Volunteers

Looking for a way to "pay forward" and still have time for the activities you enjoy? VMRC offers short and long-term volunteer opportunities. You may choose to work a special event, assist with resident activities or teach your favorite hobby. Contact Volunteer Services,540-564-3524, to explore the opportunities.
