Pool closes Monday through Friday at 6:45 p.m., and on Saturday at 12 p.m.

Family Swim Hours:

Saturday: 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Arthritis Foundation Exercise Class, Mondays and Wednesdays, May 13-July 10, 1:30-2:30 p.m. The Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program is a low-impact physical activity program proven to reduce pain and decrease stiffness. The routines include gentle range-of-motion exercises that are suitable for every fitness level. Sign up at the Wellness Center. Cost: FREE to Wellness Center Members, $30 non-resident/non-members, $15 residents who are not Wellness Center members. Please sign up at the Wellness Center.

Diabetes Self-Management workshop, Tuesdays, May 14-June 18, 9:00-11:30 a.m., Village Hall. Learn how to take control of your diabetes and take charge of your life!  In this workshop you will learn practical ways to deal with fatigue, pain, stress, discover appropriate nutrition and exercise choices, proper use of medications, and learn how to communicate more effectively with your health care providers and family about your diabetes. Each participant in the workshop receives a copy of the book, Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Conditions. Sign up now at the Wellness Center for this FREE workshop, 574-3850. 

Brain Builders, Tuesday, May 21-August 6, 1:30-2:30 p.m., Detwiler Auditorium There is overwhelming evidence that cognitive stimulation is associated with better memory ability. Through a combination of education, research based cognitive enhancement activities, and physical activities, you will gain insight into how the brain works and how to make it perform with more agility, speed and comprehension. We will also be given many practical activities for keeping your brain working! Cost (which includes pre and post class assessments) $60 for Wellness Center Members and Residents, $100 for community non Wellness Center Members.

Tabata Aqua Bootcamp, the month of April on Mondays 7-7:45 AM in the Pool Tabata Bootcamp™ is a short duration high intensity interval class designed to boost the metabolism and increase strength and power.  Performing the movements in the pool increases the resistance (thus resulting in more calorie burn and strengthening) and reduces the impact, making the exercises easier on the joints.     

Beginning Tai Chi Class, Monday & Wednesday, 3:00 p.m. Tai chi is a self-paced system of gentle physical exercise and stretching. Each posture flows into the next without pause, ensuring that your body is in constant motion. Tai chi is low impact and puts minimal stress on muscles and joints, making it safe for all ages and fitness levels. Tai Chi can stimulate circulation, loosen joints, reduce pain, improve balance and restore vitality. All are welcomed to try this class. 

Yoga, Mondays through May 20, 5:45-6:45 p.m. In this flowing Yoga class, you will find both challenge and relaxation with gentle stretching and strengthening poses. Beginners and those with experience welcome. Participants should be comfortable getting up from the floor.

Zumba, Thursdays through May 30, 5:15-6:15 p.m. If you have always wanted to try Zumba come try this beginner class! It’s a calorie burning dance party! Come join the fun!

Boot Camp, Fridays, 6:30-7 a.m. Boot camp is an interval-style class that combines cardiovascular and strength training for a super effective workout! Class will be held outdoors when the weather permits. In case of inclement weather, class will meet inside the Wellness Center. Have fun challenging yourself, burn double the calories, and increase your endurance and strength (and all before 7 a.m.)! *Must be comfortable navigating uneven terrian, climbing stairs, and getting up from the groud. Meet at the Wellness Center front desk by 6:30 a.m. 

Advanced Tai Chi Class, Friday, 3:00-4:00 p.m.
