History & Mission
VMRC is here to be a leading resource for senior living to the 55+ population. So, whether you are interested in the living options on our 47-acre campus, or in any of our programs that promote better living, we can help you age well.
VMRC founder George B. Showalter made it a priority to care for the oldest members of his community. Now, more than 50 years later, that vision has been transformed through the commitment of VMRC staff and volunteers to provide a retirement living experience centered on those same values: life-long learning, diversity, compassionate care, service, and stewardship.
