VMRC offers personal home services to residents through First Choice Home Health Services - whether you live on our campus or in the community. You'll find helpful answers to your questions about health, medicines or resources to make your life easier - like shopping or transportation services.
Assisted Living
You'll find friends among this community of comfortable, private studios and suites in Crestwood where seniors enjoy socializing at meals and at numerous activities. Assisted living care is tailored for each individual to ensure that residents continue to enjoy their favorite interests, pursue hobbies and visit with family and friends.
Skilled Nursing/Rehab
Skilled Care and Rehab Services are health care services offered under Medicare Part A and other private insurances on a short-term basis after a hospitalization. Our trained and caring staff provide assistance for the following conditions: hip fractures, joint replacements, broken bones, strokes, pneumonia, pain management, surgical wound care and occupational, physical and speech therapies.

Nursing Home/Long Term Care
Oak Lea is a licensed nursing care environment which exceeds Virginia Department of Health required standards, earning VMRC an excellent reputation. Oak Lea recently earned a 5-star rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. The 5-star quality rating system rates nursing homes overall, on health inspections, staffing and quality measures. A 5-star rating is the highest attainable and means "much above average." Oak Lea is staffed with highly qualified RNs, LPNs and certified nursing assistants available 24 hours a day. Residents and families have the confidence knowing that any changing health needs will be identified and cared for by our staff.
Dementia Care
As the population ages, more and more adults will know someone with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or memory loss. VMRC specializes in caring for and serving adults and their families who are touched by Alzheimer's diseases or other memory loss disorders. Learn how our secure neighborhoods may benefit someone you know. Memory Care at VMRC includes a wide-range of community education services provided by VMRC staff and community resources.
