Community living is genuinely good for you!
Studies show older adults who live in a social environment enjoy improved vitality and longevity; increased social involvement has been linked to a slower decline of intellectual and memory abilities.
Community living provides a ready source of friendship, comfort, and help getting around. Even very private people benefit from the nearness of others. Living with others is truly a safety net—since no one is alone in the event of a health emergency.
A move to VMRC in particular means easy and unlimited access to an incredible array of daily opportunities for every interest and ability. Take a look at our different Life Enrichment Calendars of on- and off-campus events and you’ll see what we mean. Plus our Special Services and Programs include opportunities for Spiritual Growth.Close
VMRC also features a uniquely designed campus. Most of our buildings and neighborhoods are connected by a climate-controlled, indoor Main Street, a special corridor that provides easy access to every leisure activity, social gathering, fitness opportunity and daily errand. Always safe, dry and well lit—regardless of the weather, season, or time of day.Close
You can ask to keep your parent’s lawn mower, snow blower, rakes, shovels and ladder because there’s no need for them here: We take care of all landscaping and snow removal. Life here adds convenience and eliminates work and worry. There’s no need for a car here, either, since we provide Transportation Services to medical appointments, if desired. Household Services are available, too, such as pet walking and shopping!Close
Assisted Living & Memory Care
If your loved one needs a little extra support or supervision as part of their day, VMRC provides that, too—seamlessly, on campus—as part of our continuum of care.
In addition to Assisted Living in our Crestwood neighborhood, we offer Memory Care, made up of programs and services especially for people with memory impairment. Dedicated VMRC staff are trained by the Alzheimer’s Association to provide a safe, therapeutic environment for residents with memory loss, dementia, Alzheimer’s or other neurological disorders.Close
