Heritage Haven

Affordable Comfort and Convenience

Located on the VMRC campus, Heritage Haven provides affordable housing in coordination with the federal department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for low-income individuals 62 years of age or older.  It is conveniently connected to VMRC's Main Street allowing residents to easily access all the services and amenities VMRC has to offer.  Click here to see a campus map.

Heritage Haven features: 

  • 1 to 2 BR or efficiency apartments
  • Range in size from 490 SF to 893 SF
  • Fully applianced kitchen
  • Exterior maintenance and groundskeeping
  • Coffee shop
  • Game room
  • Library
  • Coin-operated laundry facilities
  • Pets (with some restrictions)
  • Assigned parking spots for active drivers
  • 24-hour emergency call system

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Head of Household is 62 years of age or older
  • Household members are U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens
  • Household members agree to abide by the tobacco-free campus policy
  • Household members can meet the “Criteria for Residential Living”
  • Household’s gross annual income is less than the income limits set by HUD
    • 1 person household – less than $40, 250
    • 2 person household – less than $46,000
