At VMRC, the Wellness Center gives residents and members a place to build healthy habits while finding encouragement along the way. During VMRC's September Wellness Center Membership Drive, new members can receive their first month free and 50% off their enrollment fee.

This month, our community has been bustling with heartfelt traditions, festive gatherings and meaningful connections—each event reflects the joy and togetherness this season inspires.

In a heartfelt and memorable evening, VMRC recently celebrated its 70th year of serving the community with an event that brought together guests, residents, staff members and descendants of our community’s pioneers to share reflections and stories about VMRC.

Chronic diseases are incurable but manageable conditions. They include heart disease, cancer, diabetes, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and arthritis. Four in ten adults in the U.S. live with two or more of these types of illnesses.

As 2024 continues to unfold, consider more ways to embrace positive change in the pursuit of aging well. In addition to trying a new fitness routine or maintaining your current exercise regimen, incorporate ways to arrange life’s activities for maximum effectiveness.

Recently, the VMRC Wellness Center offered a brain health series and food demonstration to help residents and Wellness Center members mind their mental fitness.
