Munro Family Dolls

The creative journey of Leslie Barham, a retired art teacher who is developing her own artistic voice, has led her to VMRC once more. This summer, her collection called “Munro Family Dolls” is featured in the Park Gables Gallery. One of her dolls appeared in the 2023 VMRC National Juried Art Exhibition. Today, a host of dolls, each imbued with the essence of real people, are on display.

Since retiring, Leslie has explored her personal artistic vision through mixed media and found objects, often inspired by the natural world. Similarly, “Munroe Family Dolls” are wonderfully woven with various textiles that contribute to each doll’s unique story.
