As part of VMRC’s first annual Mennonite Heritage Month, the 2026 Voices of Peace Symposium invites residents, staff, and community members to explore the rich history of Christian peacemaking and conscientious objection. Through personal stories, historical insight, and theological reflection, we will consider how Mennonite communities have navigated war, civic responsibility, and faith from the Revolutionary era to the present. This daylong event is open to all—participants are welcome to attend the full program or join only the sessions that interest them most.
