Whimsy and Worry is an art exhibition featuring the works of Valley resident-artists Patricia Augsburger and Herb Weaver. Both artists spent part of their childhood in the Harrisonburg area, moved away for several decades, and recently returned with a depth of experience shaped by time and place.

Patricia presents a range of two-dimensional works, while Herb explores form through three-dimensional media, with a particular focus on ceramic sculpture. What began as an exploration of West Coast and East Coast perspectives, reflecting Augsburger’s years in California and Weaver’s life in Virginia, evolved into something more universal.

Whimsy and Worry reveals that, no matter where we live, we all navigate moments of lightness and concern. Through distinct styles and mediums, the artists invite viewers to reflect on the shared human experience that connects us all.
