Scott Richardson

VP, Independent Living & Dining Services

Scott Richardson rejoined VMRC in September 2020, bringing more than two decades of experience in senior living services. He began his career at VMRC in 2000, launching the Wellness Center, and has since held leadership roles at communities in Williamsburg, VA; Pittsboro, NC; and Charlotte, NC. Scott is a Certified Aging Services Professional and a Certified Dementia Practitioner through the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners. A 2015 graduate of the LeadingAge Leadership Academy, he currently serves on several local nonprofit boards and chairs the Public Policy Committee for LeadingAge Virginia.

At VMRC, Scott oversees three Independent Living neighborhoods, a 150-unit HUD facility, the Dining Services team, Willow Run farm, and the Independent Living Sales team. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sports Management from Sir Sandford Fleming College in Ontario, Canada.
