On a June afternoon, the 2025 National Juried Art Exhibition award recipients gathered on VMRC’s campus to see their works thoughtfully displayed, connect with fellow artists and jurors, and celebrate the occasion alongside family and friends.

At VMRC, it’s not just about providing care—it’s about creating connection. For Lizzie Smith, Marketing Assistant, the culture and camaraderie here have kept her coming back for nearly a decade.

This spring, VMRC residents enjoyed the Upbeat Downtown Music Series held at  Court Square Theater in Harrisonburg. The VMRC-sponsored lineup of talented musicians covered the music of Simon & Garfunkel, Johnny Cash, Taylor Swift and others.
